Mercurial and masterful, Meshell Ndegeocello has survived the best and worst of what a career in music has to offer. She has eschewed genre for originality, celebrity for longevity, and musicals trends for musical truths. She has lived through the boom and bust of the industry and emerged just as she entered – unequivocally herself. Fans have come to expect the unexpected from Meshell, and faithfully followed her on sojourns into soul, spoken word, R&B, jazz, hip-hop, rock, all bound by a lyrical, spiritual search for love, justice, respect, resolution, and happiness.

Through the throat, sound is propagated into the air and its vibration can be felt not just in our ears, but also in our whole body. It is an important instrument of communication and expression.

Metasota made a name for himself as a battle rapper in the Twin Cities. After deciding to focus his energy on a traditional studio setting, he’s became known for his amazing stage presence, intelligent lyrics, witty punch lines, and his fun sense of humor. Inspired by such rap legends as Outkast, Common, Jay-Z, and Nas, Metasota is constantly working to perfect his craft as an artist.
Manchita is an ex-GRRRL PRTY rapper who dropped a debut EP titled One last summer with Minneapolis-based producer, Bionik. It’s described as having low-tempo, high-density R&B grooves. Though Bionik is known for his danceable, electronic music, One is unexpectedly moody, with an attention to subtlety. The EP showcases a body of work centered on love, loss, and survival.
