Nsikak Shares Chocolate and Saves The Day In “Everybody Loves Chocolate”

Nsikak gives us his first release of 2016 a brand new video and single titled “Everybody Loves Chocolate.” The video, shot by BfewJr, follows Nsikak as he plays a television superhero who shows up to the save a handful of colorless situations with chocolate. The chocolate is representative of Black culture’s influence on American culture and how often times no credit is given to the originators. The song and video maintain a cheerful mood that compliments the heavy subject matter which helps drive the thesis home. No word if “Everybody Love Chocolate” will appear on Nsikak’s upcoming album The Lost Generation.

Nsikak and the 3ME crew continue to grow with every release since the debut These Moments in 2014. They’ll be celebrating their success THIS THURSDAY at the Cabooze in Minneapolis with their second Good Vibe City event featuring performances by Nsikak, GainesFM, Ayvah Macfarlane, Rich Garvey and BdotCroc. Check out the details here.

J.Plaza Sounds The “Minnesota Alarm” In New Visual

Sound the alarm, but no need to run because J.Plaza is already holding you hostage. After having a successful 2015,  the Mill City Collective member shows that he’s not looking back or leveling off in 2016 with the new track and video “Minnesota Alarm.”

For nearly three minutes. Plaza warns fellow MC’s with constant bars that hold a perfect balance between ruthless and hilarious. “I hear that shit and I skip it, I’d rather listen to crickets/ couple rappers on my hit list, chop ’em up like a brisket.” he raps half way through the first verse.

We’re looking forward to hearing more from J.Plaza has 2016 goes on. Maybe an EP or an album? Keep up with King Plaza on twitter at @iamjplaza.

Sayth “Maybe God Is Afraid of Us?”

Sayth has released a cinematic accompaniment for “Maybe God Is Afraid of Us?” from his latest project Body Pillow. In the visual, Sayth escapes the city lights and ventures into god’s country for some melancholic r and r.

He makes his way from the local bar to the majestic countryside drinking, riding four-wheeler, and lighting fireworks. Director Spencer Wells, Sayth’s brother, expertly captures the modest beauty of the rural landscape emphasizing the solitude of Sayth’s actions.

The video was colored by Peter Elliott Eaton and the song features vocals from fellow Lowkey Radical Baby Blanket.

Check out the rest of the EP below and keep up with Sayth on Twitter at @heysayth.
